Perhaps you have inherited generations of trauma, and are laboring under the weight of self scrutiny, anxiety and self doubt and are seriously struggling to stay regulated and provide our children with the tenderness, patience and structure we know they need. Breaking intergenerational trauma cycles is a heros journey, it is messy and whole hearted business and often truly requires specialized support.

Caring for ourselves and our families is hard and caring for children and teens with big, strong, loud feelings is REALLY HARD. ! It is harder still when we didn't get the parenting we are trying to provide, feel exhausted, under-resourced and are shaming and blaming ourselves.

As a psychodynamic therapist, my primary goal is to work with you, and/or your teen, in a way that allows you feel deeply understood, seen and known. From this connected place, with curiosity, compassion, and without judgment, we will explore your nervous systems' go to stress responses and identify and practice soothing skills to support you in tending to yourself and your child  challenging moments, and develop individualized communication strategies and relational approaches to integrate into your parenting and family systems for more ease and connection.
